Available on certain Bushnell Riflescopes (6500, 3200, and Trophy) is a feature known as DOE (Dead On Accuracy). This allows you to use the scope to sight in a target accurately at longer ranges.

The scope features a set of offset cross-hairs for different ranges. The reason for this is because of the drop that occurs in a bullet in flight, over time.

For example, at 200 yards, a bullet may drop 3 inches. At 300 yards, it may drop 7 or 8 inches.

At 600 yards, that bullet could drop 18 -21 inches. In the past, the only way to shoot long range was to 'guess' the distance and amount of drop.

While some sharp-shooters have been able to obtain a reasonable amount of accuracy by shooting LOTS of ammunition, the these Bushnell Riflescopes it is no longer necessary to guess at anything.

With built-in deer ear size lines and yardage cross-hairs, Bushnell riflescopes allow you to target a buck at 600 yards with lethal accuracy.

All that is necessary to bring that buck down is to first gauge the size of the rack in relation to the tick marks seen through the scope. This helps determine distance since the average span of a bucks rack is preconfigured on the sites.

Once you have determined distance you simply select the correct horizontal line to use as a crosshair. For that yardage, the bullet will drop a certain distance and with reasonable accuracy you can place that bullet right where it needs to be, even at ranges as far as 600 yards,
