Bushnell Range Finders
By Ken Walker

Let's talk about what Bushnell range finders are and how they can help you.
Based on distance-measuring laser technology, Bushnell range finders are used to accurately select a
target and tell you precisely how far away that target is.
The distance is within plus or minus 1 yard and is displayed instantly.
Yardage Pro range finders feature a builtin 'through the lens' LCD display that relays the
information quickly and clearly.
With an invisible, eye-safe, Class 1 laser, a beam is bounced off your target with the press of a
button. A high-speed internal measuring device calculates the
distance by measuring the time required for the laser beam signal to hit the target and bounce
back.
You can see the distance in either yards or meters - in less than a second from the time you press
the button with Bushnell range finders.
The distance that you can measure objects depends on their reflectivity. Hard surfaces that reflect light better can be measured at greater
distances. Soft things - like deer - will be more difficult to
measure at greater distances.
Bushnell Range Finders have several features to help you be more accurate:
Rain - precipitation can affect accuracy readings, so there is a setting to compensate for
rain.
Scan - this features gives you a constant display of distance while you point at different
objects.
Bulleseye - Bushnell range finders feature a cross-hair for short range target
acquisition. This allows you to zero in on small game without
accidentally measuring background targets.
Brush - this setting ignores the foreground (for example brush, trees, branches) and only displays
the distance of background objects (like a deer or elephant).
ARC - Angle Range Compensation gives you true horizontal distance when in BOW mode (useful when
shooting from a treestand) and bullet drop in inches when in Rifle mode.
Bushnell range finders give you the features you need to drop game at any range your equipment can
reach.
